I've been managing my current team at work for about 4 years now, and I think they're still surprised when I say things like, "I know that's not how we're supposed to do it, but all those extra steps are just bullshit approvals to make a couple people feel more important than they are. Just get it done and out the door, and I'll take the heat for bypassing the 'official' process if there is any."
