@tchauhan@mastodon.mit.edu I teach university. You're 100% right. This was obvious from the beginning.
You can't get someone else to lift weights for you and expect to get big muscles.
The people who use "AI" to do their coursework are telling you they don't value the coursework.

@OrionKidder@mas.to Yeah. Very sad for our new cohorts of students who not only use machines to lift weights, but have been told this is the only way one lifts weights. You are not only weak, but you also don't know that you are weak. I think the students are doing whatever it takes to get grades. It is the companies that aggressively market AI for everything that have ruined their lives/careers. I am expecting a massive intellectual regression in the coming decades.
