@Sablebadger@dice.camp I was a little worried myself, because our son had anger issues since he was a tiny little girl, and testosterone doesn't have the reputation of calming those down. As with any adolescence, there are tons of ever-shifting factors, of course. But as the hormone blockers wound down and the testosterone ticked up, I've only noticed good things so far. He's become so much more comfortable in his body and more confident overall. Not everything's been a picnic, but the problems have related to his autism and (gestures to *all of this*) rather than his gender. Indeed, I've even found that his hormone-related changes provide a bridge back from the wilds of his mind; sometimes, if I can see him start to spiral, I can head off the fall by noting how his waist is straighter or his mustache is thicker. (Then, with him more present, we can deal with whatever has him upset - I don't use this to put off conversations.)
