@simplicitarian@cloudisland.nz Oh no! His Caversham Project was a tremendous resource for genealogists and family historians of Ōtepoti. I know I used it quite a bit. Sad news indeed.

@paulh@cloudisland.nz That was a remarkable project - a really groundbreaking and internationally-acclaimed use of all sorts of data to measure social mobility. Several generations of Otago history students will remember their first brush with statistical analysis on that data! Also, as you say, a goldmine for family historians.
