@afewbugs@social.coop wow that’s a big increase. My mum used to tell me about the allowed rations she had in the UK during and after the war, and it was a very small amount per person. She had a vegetarian ration book (she saved her last book from 1953) and she had extra rations of eggs and cheese. My husband and children and I are all vegetarian, but we are veering more vegan now. I don’t know that I can go 100% vegan, but most suppers I cook are - one kid is vegan now, and husband is on a low fat diet, so rather than cook three different meals, we are all eating vegan.
