@brett@bitflipp.social The last time I found myself unemployed, I was trying everything I could to get into the 1000-lb gorilla in the local job market. I used connections in the company to get lined up with job postings that were aligned with my skills, get recommended by current employees, and talk directly with hiring managers. I was told over and over again that your website doesn't matter, your blog doesn't matter, but your LinkedIn profile 100% matters. That experience is the reason why I log in to it.

@joe@toot.works So you’re logging in today to look at the AI Slop button that everyone’s posting about? My point is that regardless of if you maintain a presence there why on earth would you be plugged into the platform enough to even know a new feature has launched?
