Q2: Do you often make something even though somebody could easily buy something functionally equivalent?
A2: All. The. Time.
The bath panel I made cost quite a bit more than buying one! That’s just one example from over the years!
It’s all part of the fun though!

@Andy@tenforward.social Somehow, I find homemade bath panels* so much better than the plastic shop bought ones. *Though not the ones that are tiled and fully enclose the bath so that the plumbing can't be fixed! #MakersHour
