@alexia@shrimp.starlightnet.work Signal is fucking awesome. I don't understand why people have a problem with them. The only thing I've heard is pretty much : "US based, so honeypot" and I'm sorry but that's not enough.

@purplerabbit@goo.dgirl.gay for folks who don't own a (smart)phone, the phone number requirement and desktop client not being a primary device have been pretty big issues which are at most able to circumvent with a lot of hackery
