@briankrebs@infosec.exchange I'm VERY interested in this scam. I remember one of the early Russian phishing schemes. They studied the person they were phishing to determine what they'd most likely open. Who it would come from mattered. The topic was time sensitive, so the target let their guard down. Also, they paid attention to details & didn't make common mistakes like misspelling OR perfect spelling! It worked! They got DNC & RNC emails. The tech wasn't key, it was understanding the target's mind & habits.
