I'm a detection engineer by trade. My job is hunting for details. I hunt for details by using search engines. If your search engine is dogshit, I can't do my job. I still get paid, but I'd like to do my job competently. How the fuck is it that these people who have been cradling AI, like it's the next big thing (tm), in spite of it falling forward on its face, proceeded immediately by shitting itself every time its asked to prove itself as viable for anything other than niche situations, keep being employed? How is it that anyone trusts them? Why is this is the industry standard?
