EV cars charging measured in seconds? Coming to Carney’s Canada in a Decade, maybe. (That’s 315 million seconds)
“BYD says its Blade 2.0 can charge from 10-70% in 5 minutes. And Geely one-upped BYD by saying its Golden Brick can charge the same amount in 4 minutes and 22 seconds.”
On the bright side, I was watching a YouTube a few days ago talking about the various mostly-American based brands that are near bankruptcy (again). Maybe they’ll finally go away and we can have 21st century cars that are reliable.

@chris@mstdn.chrisalemany.ca I don't get the race to charge in single-digit-minutes. The range of my car (anywhere from 350-500km) is longer than my bladder can go without a break. Fast charging is also hard on a battery -- so slower charging means a longer lifetime for the battery. When I stop to take a break, more often than not, the car is done charging before I can finish a sit-down meal in a restaurant.
