@wdormann@infosec.exchange I'm hoping that with the biological warfare that I'll be able to save these guys, but I may try the foil strips next year. Some have also suggested staking the zucchini plants to have them grow upwards to make it easier to inspect the base of the plant.

@da_667@infosec.exchange Yeah, I'm also going the vertical route these days. But they still got half of mine. Perhaps unsurprisingly, all in one of my containers.

@wdormann@infosec.exchange I've also heard that some varieties in the squash family have naturally tougher skin that the vine borers can't penetrate, in particular, the trombone squash has been said to have a similar taste and texture to summer squash if harvested when they are around the size of a typical summer squash.
