@reyjrar@hachyderm.io No worries, I'm not disagreeing with you, but coming from more statically typed languages, I definitely see some use in encoding some basic types in there, although I'm fine with having the code manage it. Like, json's types are fine, but pure json is a pain to manually write, so I could definitely see a use for a middle ground. But tbqh, my own programs have been using TOML as its config language for quite a while now.
