@SquirrelwithaninvisibleW@mastodon.social @davidnjoku@mastodon.world Yes you are. The choice is either take £50K, or take a 50% chance of £1M. Taking the chance at £1M removes the £50K. This is normally done with smaller amounts, but it's a very old experiment. Even with the much smaller amounts, most people opted for the low guaranteed outcome rather than the outcome that had a chance of nothing.
