Its worse than ever, also because people don’t seem to realize it’s technology that is keeping them alone. You cant connect and make friends over “social” media or Lemmy or whatever. It’s just spending time to feel less alone. It will never cure it. You are alone because you don’t dare to go out into the real world and try to meet people. At least for guys, we can connect over some activity pretty easily, like pool or billiards. Just need to do it. There is also meetup site to go on random events with strangers. It can work, or at least make you sick of people for a while if it doesn’t work. :)
