Started to watch a video about someone who bought a VCR and old CRT TV because they were tired of seeing ads on streaming movies before the movie even started. They neglected to mention, though, how official VHS tapes ALWAYS STARTED WITH ADS FOR OTHER MOVIES FROM THE SAME DISTRIBUTOR. You literally had to fast forward through the first ten minutes of a tape to get past the all the ads. There are legit reasons to go old school with your home tech, but if you're making shit up like that, your "reasons" are simply nostalgia.
