@davidnjoku@mastodon.world Yes, we thought the same. In fact one of our first comments to each other when we started watching the Aussie programme was surprise that the two human characters weren't of different races, as they are in both the UK and US versions.
Turns out that they are, but in a very Australian way.

@losttourist@social.chatty.monster until you said that, I hadn't noticed that the couples are always of different races 😀 I wonder if that's something we just happened to do in the UK version and other versions decided to keep
