Lazyweb: do long range wireless USB keyboards exist? By long range, I mean better than Apple’s built-in Bluetooth, which remains reliable at 10m through several walls but gets jittery at 20m plus more walls. No combination of related search terms produces useful results on The Internet Of Today.
[I have embedded RF engineering experience and understand what I’m asking for and how these protocols work. No, I don’t want to rewire the affected systems to do this some other way. Yes, I know about USB over Ethernet but that doesn’t help me. Please don’t answer a different question or paste LLM slop at me. Thanks!]

@rmi@cloudisland.nz my strong assumption would be that Bluetooth probably displaced any pre-Bluetooth wireless keyboards from the market decades ago. The Bluetooth protocol is pretty deliberately designed to be “personal area” (~10m) by radio power, timeouts, and RF frequency. USB has some very strict timeouts on certain steps, so I suspect a naive “wireless extender” for USB wouldn’t meet those timeouts.
