@iamada@tech.lgbt eh, maybe, but we did have the great resignation. The covid stimulus packages did a LOT of good for the US economy. In 2021 we had record low interest rates, like below 3%. People were buying new homes and companies were taking out loans left and right because they got so cheap. Then interest and inflation skyrocketed in 2022, and at the same time tax code 174 expired, removing corporate deductions for R&D. The money rapidly vanished and companies began contracting.
