@starlily@mastodon.social Congresspeople from rich districts shouldn't be paid more than those from poor districts. It provides an incentive for richer lawmakers to divert funds to their own districts and away from poorer districts. The fairness doctrine is fine, but can only apply to broadcast media, and not to cable media or print. The CEO cap is too high and only applies to wages, while CEOs are often compensated in other ways, too.
