@Steve@social.coop I'll admit, I don't understand the witchery that goes on under the hood of a lot of tools - code completion, debuggers, etc. but they are usefully predictable and reliable.

@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange "Simple" is relative. But, I'd guess that if you really wanted to find out how they worked, you eventually would. If you tried and failed because the information was proprietary, that's a separate issue. "Simple" is relative, but "transparent" is not.
