@eyesquash@mastodon.world The problem with the Gibson style 3-way is the openness of it. Very prone to dust and corrosion. Of course, I could have bought some Switchcraft switches and had better luck, most likely, but they still are open to the same issue. I like the idea of the sealed switch much better. Not sure I know the sound of the stutter effect you’re talking about. Not part of my repertoire either way.

    @RyanHyde@techhub.social Stutter: BucketHead does it with a kill switch that looks like an arcade button. Townshend did it with his SG: turn the neck pickup's vol down all the way, then switch rapidly between the bridge and middle positions on the switch. I hear you on the open design. I'm okay with it, but I'm no pro. I think I have a cheap one on one guitar that's the usual toggle outside, closed switch body inside - from a wiring harness bought from 'zon.
