There's a swath of Reddit currently angry at the Canadian Prime Minister for saying he won't use our energy supply to the US as leverage in trade negotiations. This swath of Reddit is shouting that he's an idiot for not seeing that leverage. It's trendy to elect uneducated blowhards to head of state. But Canada bucked the trend and elected a Harvard & Oxford educated individual who was head of the Bank of Canada for 5 years. Is it possible he understands things we don't? Reddit thinks not.
