I remember the folks who voted no to that plebiscite said they wanted to “send a message to Translink.” It wasn’t about what was in the Mayor’s Plan. It was about taxes. And it wasn’t set up that way by the BC Liberals who forced the mayors to have a referendum on taxes before anything got built.
