@omerida@phpc.social I'm not sure there _are_ modern equivalents. If you walk into a game store and ask about wargaming, they're gonna tell you about Warhammer. Which, I bear no ill will towards Warhammer, it's just not what I'm looking for. But Warhammer is what "wargame" means in the retail channel today. There are companies still serving the market, like GMT, but it's such a small market they have no presence at retail or in casual drop-in groups.
