@omerida@phpc.social I _think_ the more tactical-ish end of the niche that used to be filled by games like ASL is occupied these days by more Warhammer-like miniatures games like Bolt Action.

@jalefkowit@hachyderm.io haven't run into that one. Did check and the current publishers of ASL did release a starter kit thsi decade, so its not like those games are totally dead. https://mmpgamers.com/asl-starter-kit-1-p-10

@jalefkowit@hachyderm.io finally - yes, most tactical skirmish-y games I see are not on a hexmap, it's usally minis on a table liek Warhammer, and Frostgrave.
