GN tested the stock config against a device with two sticks of RAM and found that the main improvement was seen in tasks like file compression and decompression, indicating that you'd perhaps see an up-to 20% performance improvement during these tasks. They speculated that it would possibly improve performance during game installs but they actually found low single-digit improvements in pretty much all other scenarios (gaming etc).
