So uh, wife and I are talking about selling everything we own and moving to New York. West Virginia is getting worse. And things are just becoming unsurvivable around here. The bills are just too much, the jobs are paying nothing, the people are becoming worse, especially towards us, food is getting harder to get without going further out of the way to obtain or make. I dont know exactly when this is happening. But I know we WILL be there by October. We are gonna get some solar panels, some batteries, her family has some land with a cabin and a natural spring, and she says she can guarantee work there. And even if not, with what we are planning, I can always make money doing some side work that can sustain us. I'm nervous as hell, but this is something we need to do. So uh, if you have any money to help get us going, that would be awesome. But mostly, if anyone has any advice for this kind of thing, I would absolutely love hearing anything that might help prepare us or be useful for us. I've never done this kind of thing, and it will be the absolute biggest leap I have ever taken in life. So just anything at all will help make this a reality.

@RedCyberPandaz@zoner.work Hi, I have A LOT of moving experience. 1) You're in the pre-move jitters stage. I call this feeling bungee jumping with your life. It feels scary but won't be so bad once the move is over. 2) The first year is the hardest. You don't know anyone, and getting setup is expensive. Don't judge whether you've made a good decision until one year later. Live tight while getting situated. 3) Downsize. Give those things you love away to family and friends. Have a yard sale.
