@ParadeGrotesque@mastodon.sdf.org @jperkin@federate.me.uk If you don’t mind a recommendation for next time, a little extra information in the PR would be helpful. I have an idea about what you mean from this thread, but reading that without knowing about this thread would leave me a bit confused.
For instance, pasting an example or two of the messages you got would be good.
I’m not a fan of Fastly. Sometimes we have issues like these, and sometimes fetching just hangs forever. Some source repositories use Fastly, which means I can’t leave bulk building machines to run without occasional hangups, so they need timeouts.
Also, I can’t report issues to Fastly as an end user, and upstream doesn’t often care enough to report issues. It’s a real PITA.

@AnachronistJohn@zia.io @jperkin@federate.me.uk No, I agree this was not a very good PR. The issue is, of course, that pkgin decided to work right as I was writing the PR. (Probably because the sync issues mentioned were resolved)
