@setto@tooting.ch @silverpill@mitra.social Yes I agree it's a pain point. When I first started building I struggled with finding a way to have a federated identity. One service I found seemed to come with a monetary cost and also allowed someone else to be your identity broker. Which makes sense in the web of trust sense, but not what I was going for. What I like about Nostr is the idea of the one distributed cryptographic identity. But I'm still running into broker (bunker) problems - third parties don't seem to be working or moved on. Or I need to expose private keys to someone else's app in order to play. Also not ideal.

    @johnofrobotz I don't think identity brokers make any sense in a web of trust. But I probably misunderstood you. Bunker works fine though. If you share our npub, you can leverage basspistol.org. or why not your own relay on that raspi of yours? Which signer do you use? Good on you for doing it the proper way from scratch! @silverpill
