At my last job, we had a Slack channel where many of us said "Good morning" every morning. I'm sure many people felt it was quaint or unnecessary, and many did not participate. But many of us did, and it was a small moment of joy. We'd leave emojis. Working remotely, we didn't see each other face to face, almost ever. Sure, we sat on Zoom meetings (way too often), and we communicated all throughout the day, but literal in-person interactions were rare. I went to the office about once a year.

@paulshryock@phpc.social I love that. my current client does that as well, and in my company we also do that. it feels logical (common human interaction) as well as informational (I've started working!)
