At one time in my youth we as a country afforded visionary projects....ones that benefited us all What happened... now people cannot afford their own home. Very simplistic I know... but what happened and is still happening is that some people were allowed to get in the whole process and cream off the money. Covid: a goodly chunk of the money went to individuals.... money that should have been used for people. Water: the business suffers and is not self funding ... but those running the facility used by all profit as do shareholders... meanwhile shit is pumped into our waterways.. and they want funding from Gov Health: does anybody think middleman and Insurance should be in Care for the sick. Education: is a profit centre for loan HS2 never happened but lots of the funding went to the wealthy The list is endless... and the story is we cannot afford to do anything but make some individuals wealthy.
