@rmi@cloudisland.nz But then, how could techbros pretend to be serious programmers? Why do you think they chose to invent Electron rather than have to learn C++ and a native GUI toolkit?

@felix@wandering.shop If our species can have weeklong meetings to negotiate international treaties, we could probably have a similar meeting to agree what a GUI is and how it should function. They’re not hugely different in terms of negotiated complexity.
