@nxskok@cupoftea.social @stefano@mastodon.bsd.cafe Yeah, back then you were 'expected' to at least try and solve an issue before even asking for help and advice, provide some evidence you have found some instructions and the response if you had not was pretty robustly 'go away' and that is putting it nicely in some cases. Granted even back then there was bad how_tos or other information, in that case you would probably be directed to a better set of instructions, so it wasn't all bad. People in 2026 want instant gratification, instant answers and are not prepared to put in the effort required.
