@lianna@micro.webgarden.click That Pluribus story turned out to have been fake viral marketing. Nobody was hospitalised by an ad on their fridge. It could happen, and maybe there are people who've experienced that, but that particular event didn't happen.

    @StarkRG@myside-yourside.net @lianna@micro.webgarden.click I don't think it's fair to say that's it's been disproved/debunked. But the bulk of the counterargument is that people warned that it might happen, and then it apparently happened. And the article uses this as evidence that it was a hoax inspired by the people saying it could happen. I really don't think this is good reasoning.
