And I think the desire to dismiss an apparent testimony is itself driven by ableism. The article also focuses on debunking the idea that the ad was personalised, which I'm not sure was part of the original story to begin with.

Again, that's not to say that the concern isn't real, it definitely is and you won't ever find me buying something whose primary purpose is to spy on me or to advertise at me.
