TIL that, if I’ve been in Kauai, I now need to check my aluminum water bottles for dead geckos before I refill them.

On the positive side Hawai’i house geckos aren’t poisonous. And only a sip was had before I poured it out into the sink in the plane bathroom. The gecko is still in the water bottle so am I in violation of Hawaii’s agricultural laws when I bring it back in? I guess I was when I took it out with me but their scanner didn’t pick it up. #GeckoCrime
