My mother-in-law cannot hear. She does not take care of her hearing aids, if she even remembers to put them in. They need to be adjusted. But she puts that off. She has ADHD and she likes to talk. But she's deaf. So the conversations are not fun. She came to a party with us. She was wildly inappropriate. She fixated on a disabled baby & an anorexic woman. I tried to steer the conversation to a better place, but she is deaf. She does not get social cues anymore unless she can lip read them. Oi.
