AI in the hands of a professional would be good use and more productive. But I seriously doubt it. Reviewing slop code is not fun for anyone and the urge to just accept whatever is generated is strong. Also why do we need to be _more_ productive? How is that serving really? The whole premise of wanting or being more productive is a fallacy. I'm sure we are just producing massive amounts of tech debt, feeling super productive because we don't really look at what the token machine is spitting out

    @botteaap@androiddev.social Everyone is looking at LLM tools and judging their effectiveness in the narow context in front of them. The discussion reminds me of this comic strip I commissioned years ago. A tool that is useful for one task might not be useful for another. A tool that sucks at one task might be great in another. Looking at tool in once context and elaborating it either being globally fantastic or globally shit is quite often a mistake.
