I wish there was a single word for the feeling of high hopes, thrilling anticipation, and eventual disappointed resignation that you get when a story carries you along, makes you dream... and then utterly fails to stick the landing.
Anyway, the first couple seasons of BSG were pretty great, huh?

@offby1@wandering.shop first time I watched a season of a show that I had to re-watch because it couldn’t possibly have been that stupid, I was sure I had missed some details or just fundamentally misunderstood something about the arc of the plot
