Ofcom blocks Openreach’s “Incremental New to OR” offer: up to £9.50/month per full fibre customer above an ISP’s normal sign-up rate, aimed at the connections altnets are winning instead. Right call.
It shouldn’t have been proposed at all.
Mutualise Openreach: If OR were a mutual owned by its ISP customers, BT included, this idea doesn’t survive its first meeting. The discount would be their own money, spent making their other suppliers less viable.
