I have opinions on these trends of "women not wearing makeup / going natural nails / etc"
One one hand, it's great that it's A THING we, GASP, can now not wear anything on our faces or nails and that's... acceptable? Wow. What a time to be alive.
On the other hand, it also comes with weird undertones of trad-ism that shames women who choose to wear a lot of makeup or have nail extensions, so, I don't know.
New trend: women can choose do to whatever they want and that's cool!

The trad-ism thing I see is usually something like "Look at this celebrity who chose to not wear makeup, she looks more gorgeous than ever" - implies makeup made her worse "Elegant women are choosing this new nail trend" - and it's not doing a manicure, implying doing your nails is not elegant I don't like the tone. Maybe if it was phrased like "This celebrity proves she also rocks bare faced! Good for her!" - she is gorgeous anyway "You don't need nail extensions to be elegant - check these trendy looks!" - both are now elegant
