I've reached my limit of the tests I can conduct with the means I currently have.
We suspect it may be issue with the CPU, the power supply, or the motherboard. But in order to conduct proper tests we need to send it to a technician in Athens, which means many more days without PC.
It was suggested by a friend to first try a different power supply, but we don't have one, not even our local technician can offer one.

I tried something that should've done earlier, even the issue remains. I removed the CMOS battery for few minutes, which when I plugged the power cable back in, caused the fuse to fall. No graphics card or drives were on board. At least this gave us a stronger indication that it may be indeed a power supply issue. We try to find a PSU of sufficient watts to test it.
