@dog_dyke_dawn@bark.lgbt they are slowly putting in DRMs into their newer printers. while they are not made my "never buy any from their entire ecosystem even if you paid me" the likes of HP.
Brother is still one of the better (less user hostile) printers to own. i still have their mono laser, its "only does wpa1" old.

@pH_0x05@infosec.exchange I see, I see. well in that case, I'm glad my printer is old enough to not have the DRM issue, but that does suck and make them harder to recommend now :/ But yeah, I'm not entirely convinced that their mono laser printers are capable of dying.
