@pH_0x05@infosec.exchange I see, I see. well in that case, I'm glad my printer is old enough to not have the DRM issue, but that does suck and make them harder to recommend now :/
But yeah, I'm not entirely convinced that their mono laser printers are capable of dying.

@dog_dyke_dawn@bark.lgbt in the end they are for profit, so I am surprised they didnt do it much earlier. A good sign is to see how easily you can get 3rd party carts and contrast with how many complaints of said carts stopped working with a new firmware update. I am pretty convinced I can put in my will to let my kids inherit my brother printers and dell monitors. 😂
