I love to describe centrists as the woman who agreed to chop a baby in half in the King Solomon biblical story.
The centrists will agree to have the baby chopped in half and then twist themselves inside out. Trying to decide how the baby should be cutting in half sagittal coronal or transverse. And then decide to give the Republicans the nicer half because they’re being bipartisan.

But a very good comparison! I will probably parrot this forward by saying that centrism is like Solomon being serious about the baby-partition.
