I've come to the conclusion that I prefer the NCAA basketball style (based on the EVO NXT). The deep beveled channels feel nice for shooting. However the hard edge on the bevel gets ground down over time on a outdoor court. The NCAA has a 7 piece of construction for channel seams. I think it's because they seem to use the same material as the cover (notice how it's pebbled). Opposed to the 2 piece, rubbery construction of most other balls.
