On that note... what distro would you (dear Fedi) recommend? I'm relatively new to Linux but I like KDE. The only package manager I have some experience with is APT. (And, technically, snap.)
I'm using Ubuntu on my servers already, so I know Ubuntu. And I have some (free) Ubuntu Pro licenses.
Is there a way to get unstable but more current packages on Ubuntu / APT?
But if I won't use (K)ubuntu, are there any other recommendations?

@SteffoSpieler@drachen.club if all you want to do is install packages, imho it makes no difference if you type apt/dnf install/update/upgrade - okay, apk is a bit weird in regards to verbs ("add"?). But the package maneger shouldn't be a blocking issue :3
