@mattblaze@federate.social I stood uncomfortably in front of multiple Texas Public Utility Commission meetings in the late 90s explaining* why we had dropped phone service for a couple of zip codes for part of an afternoon. Today, that's the expected level of service. * with 27 8x10 glossy photos and writing on the back.
