I have the feeling that some of the new flashy Nu-Gnome apps missed something crucial. A lot are just a GUI wrapper on one small command. The UNIX philosophy of doing one thing and doing it well applies to command-line programs, less so to standalone GUIs. Its force was about bridging 10 commands together, not having 20 icons that do tiny things pollute your app drawer. These apps are beautiful and intuitive but they're really heavy for what they bring. But wait! There's more. #Flatpak 1/2
